MEDIA ALERT
PHOENIX LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSOCIATION (PLEA) RECOGNIZES RODD & JO WOLFF FOR
THEIR VIGILANCE, COURAGE AND COMMITMENT AS POLICE PARTNERS FOR A
SAFER COMMUNITY
WHO:
The Phoenix Law Enforcement Association, representing more than 2300
rank and file members of the Phoenix Police Department, and Rodd and
Jo Wolff, owners of Hair Productions.
WHAT:
Presentation of plaque for Vigilance, Courage and Commitment as
Police Partners for a Safer Community.
WHERE:
Hair Productions, beauty salon, 25th St. and Indian
School Road, Phoenix.
WHEN:
2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 26th, 2008.
WHY:
Because of a program they devised to deter crime in their place of
business, Rodd and Jo Wolff were able to stop Ronald Allan Rowe from
inflicting injury on themselves and their clients on Tuesday, March
18th, 2008.
HOW:
Because of previous crimes at nearby businesses, the Wolff’s had
established a code word to use in the event of a robbery. Rodd was
in a back room when he heard his wife utter the code word three
times. As the robber moved further into the salon, Wolff removed a
gun and ordered the man to drop his gun. When he did not comply,
Wolff fired three shots, striking the suspect. None of the five
innocent people in the salon were injured. |
